THE WAKE-UP CALL
"3.5 Million Tons of Plastic. Every Year. Just in India." In 2018, Akshat Ghiya was working with a leading OMC, interacting daily with plastic manufacturers and recyclers. That’s when he saw the uncomfortable truth — recycling wasn’t the solution. Plastic waste was still rising. Most packaging used in personal care was going to landfills or oceans. He knew something had to change. So, he quit the corporate world to solve it from the root.
WHY SHUNYAM?
"From Zero We Begin." Shunyam means "zero" in Sanskrit. Zero plastic. Zero water wastage. Zero compromise on quality. What began as one sustainable toothpaste tablet has now grown into a movement from oral care to haircare to body care all designed to cut down waste, not corners.

They come in plastic-free packaging or are naked, making it easy for you to switch — without sacrificing performance or pleasure. And everything’s made in small batches in-house — that’s our quality promise.
